PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: April 1, 2022
Last Updated: May 25, 2026

This policy explains what we collect about you, why, and what you can do about it. It covers andbery.com and everything sold or run through it, including the Real Cinematography community.

The person responsible for your data is Andrei Beresnev, trading as Andbery. Contact: [email protected].

1. What We Collect

When you give it to us. Your name and email when you sign up for the newsletter, download a free guide, or create an account. Your billing details when you subscribe or buy — though those go straight to our payment processor, and we never see or store your card number.

When you use the community. Anything you post: messages, comments, footage and images you upload for review, and your profile details.

Automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and which site sent you to us.

When you contact us. Whatever is in the message you send.

2. Why We Use It

To give you access to what you paid for and to run your account and subscription. To take payments and send receipts. To send you the emails you signed up for, and service messages about your membership — including renewal reminders, which we send whether or not you're on the marketing list. To answer your questions. To understand which pages and lessons work and which don't, so we can improve them.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.

3. Who Else Handles It

We can't run this alone, so a few companies process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Kajabi — hosts the website, courses, community, and email system
  • Stripe and PayPal — process payments
  • Meta — receives data from the tracking pixel installed on some of our pages, used to measure and target advertising

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used. Some, like the Meta pixel, are used for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will break login and checkout.

5. How Long We Keep It

Account and purchase records stay while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Marketing contacts stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. We also clear out contacts who haven't opened anything in a long time.

Community posts stay visible after you leave unless you delete them or ask us to.

6. Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what data we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. If you're in the UK or the EU, you can also ask us to hand over your data in a portable format, object to certain processing, and complain to your national data protection authority.

Write to [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. Unsubscribing from marketing email takes one click at the bottom of any email — no need to ask us.

Deleting your account data ends your access to anything you bought, including permanent course access. We'll say so before we do it.

7. Where Your Data Goes

Our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place for international transfers.

8. Security

We use reputable providers, keep access to accounts limited, and don't hold payment card data ourselves. No system is completely secure, and we can't promise otherwise — but if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

9. Children

Our services are for adults working in film and video. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we find that we have, we delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change, and if a change materially affects how we use your data, we'll email you.
